About me
I am registered with the UKCP (UK Council of Psychotherapists) and the ACPP (Association of Core Process Psychotherapists) as a trainee member. I am currently completing a postgraduate diploma in Mindfulness-Based Core Process Psychotherapy at the Karuna Institute, which was one of the first training centres for Mindfulness-Based Psychotherapy in the UK.
I have a clinical contract with the Karuna Institute and adhere to their code of ethics and working practices, along with those of UKCP and ACPP. I receive regular clinical supervision and attend weekly personal therapy.
In addition to my private psychotherapy practice, I currently offer counselling under an NHS service, and I have worked as a volunteer in other mental health support services.
I have experience in supporting people with a wide range of issues, including:
Depression
Childhood emotional neglect and trauma
Grief and loss
Lack of purpose
Stress
Relationship difficulties
Anxiety and fear
Loneliness and isolation
Prior to my training in psychotherapy, I spent twenty years working in corporate technology. I moved into therapeutic work following several years of enquiry and coming into better relationship with my own inner landscape and sense of purpose.
I am supported holistically by my contemplative and movement practices, and my close relationship with nature. I am on a continuing personal journey of exploring methods of expanding awareness and how these can support us towards transformation and growth, including meditation, yoga and breathwork, sacred plant medicine, tantra, and shamanic work.
My aim is to support you with mindfulness-based psychotherapy to deepen your own self-knowledge and innate wisdom, allowing for the emergence and expression of your inner truth.
